Special Announcement from Regional Chairperson Bili Mattes about new Peer Learning Circles:

We are forming peer learning circles around specific topics of interest that you identified in the survey we sent out earlier this year. In particular, we have developed peer learning circles around distance learning, recruitment and marketing, and strategic planning. We are spreading these events around the region and providing numerous date options so that you have a maximum of choices. Please be aware that each learning circle is limited to a maximum of 20 participants and that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each circle is being hosted by a member institution and will follow a similar format. A pre-reading will be provided that will be discussed on the day of the meeting and each host institution will have the opportunity to talk about how they have addressed the topic under discussion. The “meat” of these events, however, will be the opportunity to share, discuss, and wrestle with particular issues around distance learning, marketing and recruitment, or strategic planning in a facilitated discussion with your colleagues. The intent is that the peer learning circle experience will provide you with new ideas, different perspectives, and even possible solutions, as well as a network of local colleagues with similar interests.

Please contact me (717-871-2053 or bili.mattes@millersville.edu) or Emily Richardson (610-499-4334 or ecrichardson@mail.widener.edu) with any questions.
